The Very Beginning
My very first experience to the world wide web began on a 200mhz pc with only 128mb of ram back in 1997. Yes I know the www was well out of it's infancy by then and computer users were a dime a dozen but the actual connection to the internet was still very sparse and normally only a dial-up connection was affordable to the masses. My first copy of Adobe Photoshop took 28hrs to download via mIRC in over 50 1.44mb zip files, only to have the connection drop out during the last file!!! It was the next evening before I could resume that last zip and explore the wonders of Layers, Fonts, Filters, Eye-Candy and many other visual goodies of the image editing world that had been, up to that point in my life, only things I could create with my own two hands by using pecil, marker, brush, paint and similar artistic tools not in the digital realm.
The Next Step
Nonetheless it didnt take me long to find BBS, phpBB, Nuke and many other emerging PHP technologies such as osCommerce & CRE Loaded. Very early in my online pubescence I, "maestro", had possibly the most fortunate chance encounter with one of CRE Loaded's most important developers Mr. Michael Logsdon. This meeting spawned a long lasting and what I continually hope to be considered a mutually beneficial friendship. The impression made upon me by "Datazen" as he is known in the Matrix, will be one that lasts the remainder of my years in this life. The guidance and direction given to me by such a highly skilled developer, and now best friend, is not one that I take lightly. His help and wisdom are to be credited for the creation of the very site you are visiting today!
Recent Years
After forming more than just a few relationships online, most as a result of the maestro/datazen connection, I began to forge my identity as a self-taught entry level programmer with a knack for tech support and graphics. This lead to my employment with CRE Loaded for a span of just over two years. Along with daily duties behind the lines with other CRE employees, I had begun to develop or "port" a growing list of osCommerce contributions over to the CRE Loaded platform. This eventually led to the creation of ContributionCentral.
The Evolution
The eventual progression from CRE newbie back around version 6.15 to the latest upcoming 6.4.2 has been a steady learning experience with all of it's ups and downs as anyone may assume. This has not however dulled my desire to become more each day in the way of providing so many with the added features and tools they need to survive in their online endeavors. My everlasting wish is that ContributionCentral can weather any economical storm that this world wide web may throw it's way, and continually provide high-quality products and services that the Ecommerce community need to persevere.
